FOR THE LOVE OF BUTTE- A CAMP FIRE BENEFIT SHOW
Collaborating with the amazing Middle Mountain Music Productions, this benefit show brought together an unbeatable lineup of talent as well as huge community support to raise funds for those affected by the Camp Fire. The evening featured a wide array of raffle prizes and amazing appetizers by Ting's Refuge and was a blast! We cannot thank the artists, Ting, and the people of Yuba City and Chico enough for their support.

NOISE FOR NOR CAL- A BENEFIT COMPILATION FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FIRE SURVIVORS
As many of you have probably noticed, California has been on fire (and not in the good way). As a Northern California based label, HbR has watched friends, family, and communities around us struggle through evacuation, loss, and unbreathable air. Between Shasta/Redding's Carr Fire, the Mendocino Complex Fire (affecting Mendocino, Lake, Colusa, and Glenn Counties), and now the Camp Fire (affecting Paradise/Magalia), over 9,800 homes were destroyed and 66 lives (and rising) were lost. In the spirit of that solidarity through music which brings us all strength, we give you Noise for Nor Cal, a benefit compilation for the victims of these two fires. Bands and artists from up and down the West Coast have come together on this record to raise funds and raise spirits in these dark and smokey days.
ALL PROCEEDS OF THIS COMPILATION WILL BE SPLIT BETWEEN: -Shasta Regional Community Foundation: Community Disaster Relief Fund www.shastarcf.org/funds/cdrf - North Coast Opportunities: Wildfire Relief Fund www.ncoinc.org/disaster-recovery/ - North Valley Community Foundation www.nvcf.org |
HUMBOLDT AVE. SKATE PARK GRAND RE-OPENING
After an incredible effort from Chico Skatepark Solutions and Chico Area Recreation and Park District, with the help of local businesses like Lulu's and Parttime Skateboards, our local skatepark got the facelift it deserved. Grindline Skateparks designed and built a world-class bowl, among other killer improvements, that made the park's grand re-opening truly a day to celebrate. We were honored to provide the live soundtrack to this rad day!

OUT FROM THE COLD- A BENEFIT FOR SAFE SPACE WINTER SHELTER
About this project:
As Chico's cold winters approach each year, we are reminded of how lucky we are to have a warm place to be each night. Our fellow community members experiencing homelessness, however, do not have this comfort and safety as local temperatures reach dangerous lows. So what's a musician to do?
We at Heartburn Records have sought to bring the spirits of rock and roll and community together to create this three-band compilation, with all proceeds going to the Safe Space Winter Shelter! These local rock bands, including Sex Hogs II, The Empty Gate, and Splatter Party, have graciously offered up original songs, which were recorded by engineer/HbR co-founder Josh Garcia, at local studio The Electric Plant, who have donated their time and resources to this project as well. Out From the Cold has been a full community effort with help from Local Businesses, artists near and far, and volunteers. We are so proud to have this album be a representation of that.
